Woven Pants Workshop – Your Perfect Fit
Date: Wednesday, April 8 & Wednesday, April 15
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Both Days)
Take the stress out of sewing trousers with our comprehensive two-day Woven Pants Workshop, taught by Irene! This class is designed to meet you at your skill level, whether you want to tackle a simple pull-on style or master advanced tailoring details.
The Project: Your Choice
You get to choose the woven pant pattern you want to sew! We highly recommend patterns from Style Arc, as they offer an exceptional size range (4–30). Recommended options include popular styles like the Billie Pant, the Bennet Pant or the Darby Pants, which you can view at: shop.amongbrendasquilts.com/search?q=Style+Arc+woven+pant.
What You Will Master:
-
Customized Learning: This class can be as easy or as detailed as you like. Choose a simple pattern for a relaxed experience, or select a complex one to focus on advanced techniques.
-
Essential Techniques: You will learn to achieve a great fit, handle shaping and seam finishing, and install pockets.
-
Advanced Tailoring (Optional): For those seeking a challenge (with the possibility of some homework), Irene will cover techniques such as concealed plackets, perfect fly front zippers, and tailored waistbands.
This class is suitable for confident beginners through intermediate and advanced sewists. Bring your chosen pattern, fabric, and lining, and get ready to create the best-fitting woven pants you've ever owned!
