The Tommie Jeans Skirt – Mastering Denim Details

Date: Wednesday, April 22 & Wednesday, April 29

Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Both Days)

Join Irene for this comprehensive two-day workshop focused on constructing the Style Arc Tommie Jeans Skirt. This class is your opportunity to master all the essential techniques required for professional-level jeans construction while creating a durable and classic wardrobe staple.

The Tommie Jeans Skirt is a traditional jeans skirt pattern featuring a classic calf-length, straight shape that is timeless and versatile. It includes authentic details such as a functional fly front closure and a professional shaped waistband with belt loops (the top of the waistband sits right on the natural waist). You will learn the precise techniques for constructing both back and front pockets, and the skirt is finished with a stylish and practical front split opening.

Over two full days, Irene will guide you through working with denim, achieving perfect topstitching, mastering the fly front zipper, and constructing the functional pockets and waistband. This detailed class is ideal for the intermediate sewist looking to conquer jeans-making techniques!

Note: This is a two-day class. Please plan to attend both Wednesday, April 22, and Wednesday, April 29.

Please Bring:

  • Tommie Skirt Pattern:  Participants must bring their own copy of the pattern.
