Machine Embroidery Positions for T-Shirts & Clothing: A Placement & Hooping Workshop

Have you ever spent hours on a beautiful embroidery design, only to have the placement on your garment look... just a little bit off? Perfecting the position of your designs is the key to achieving professional-looking, wearable art.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the essential skills to confidently place embroidery on any garment, eliminating the frustration of crooked or misplaced designs. We'll cover everything from finding the "sweet spot" on a t-shirt to advanced techniques for challenging placements.

What You'll Learn:

  • The Art of Placement: Master the industry standards for positioning designs on the chest, sleeve, pocket, and back of a t-shirt.

  • Hooping for Success: Learn expert hooping techniques for stretchy knit fabrics to prevent puckering, stretching, and distortion.

  • Tools of the Trade: Discover how to effectively use rulers, templates, and water-soluble pens to mark your garments with precision.

  • Beyond the T-Shirt: Get tips and tricks for tackling common challenges like hoodies, polo shirts, and baby onesies.

This class is perfect for anyone who has basic machine embroidery knowledge and wants to take their garment projects to the next level. Stop guessing and start creating with confidence!

Please Bring:

  • any hoop size required for your desired embroidery

  • A downloaded pattern or use the words etc on your machine.
  • Embroidery machine in good working order

  • Thread, 6" x 12" rotary ruler, cut away stabilizer, 2 articles of clothing to embroider on.  If clothing is fluffy you will also need topper.
